Forensic reports for cracked walls and foundations
Sometimes buildings go wrong. For a myriad of reasons a building of any age may begin to deteriorate. Sticking windows and doors are often the first sign of a problem. As things get worse, plaster or brickwork cracking may begin, tiles break or cornices drop.
These problems occur for a number of reasons and it is essential to determine what the cause is to work out the best way to stop or fix the problem. Southern Geotech has had many years of experience in assessing the site issues and giving guidance on what measure can be taken to improve the situation. A combination of footing probes and site moisture investigation is carried out to determine what is impacting on the footings to cause the observed movement.

Experience you build on.
A geologist will visit your site and drill a number of test bores in the places of the proposed new building foundations. A detailed report will then be made and issued to you. All site reports meet the Australian standard 2870 for footings and slabs.
